SEPANG: After angering travelers with a more than 50% increase on rail tickets from KL Sentral to KLIA, Express Rail Link (ERL) launched its more affordable Economy Rail Service (ERS) today.
“We can’t do much about incomes not going up these past 14 years, but we can always increase ticket fares!” explained ERL public relations spokesman Nazim Bin Bakar, “but for those needing a cheaper alternative to express rail, UBER and Taxis, today we introduce our economy hand rail car airport service for only RM5 a ticket!”
“Economy rail will get a whole family from Sentral to KLIA in only 6 hours if Opah puts her back into it! Pack an umbrella though because it’s still rainy season!”
In a separate statement, the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD ) confirmed the 57% ERL ticket increase is in line with the PM’s directive to encourage unpopular price hikes on things he didn’t build himself.
