Blacklisted Pro-Bersih Companies Still Allowed To Pay Us Taxes, Govt Assures

PETALING JAYA: Not long after Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan tweeted companies who support the Bersih movement would be blacklisted from government contracts, PMO insiders were quick to console these soon-to-be snubbed companies they could still pay the government their corporate taxes.

“The government may have an issue with Bersih and stop awarding contracts to the competent businesses supporting it,” explained a PMO source, “but tax contributions from these pro-Bersih companies is still permitted.”

It is understood Bersih may conduct background checks on their own members to see if any are awarding personal income taxes to the government they are officially opposing.
