KAJANG: After an enjoyable ride along the new MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) line this morning, thousands of commuters announced they have forgiven Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for the multi-billion ringgit 1MDB scandal.
“I admit I had misgivings towards the Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional,” said one commuter, “particularly in April when 1MDB suspiciously agreed to pay Abu Dhabi USD1.2billion because the last payment definitely didn’t go to the Caymans. But that hardly seems important now that Najib has given Malaysians this brilliant gift of an RM21billion Phase2 MRT service!”
In another playful joke, the PM says like the opposition the MRT is driverless.
“Next election, I’m all set to vote Najib back into power,” another satisfied passenger exclaimed, “sure there might be some truth to the US$4.5bil US DoJ kleptocracy case involving exquisite jewellery, artwork, yachts and real estate bought with money siphoned from 1MDB and ultimately Malaysian tax payers, but who cares? I can go from Kajang to Lot 10 now under 40 minutes! Wheeeeee!”
