Scheme To Protect Pilgrims From Umrah Scams An Umrah Scam

PUTRAJAYA: Today the government lauded the Integrated Manasik Monitoring System (IMAMS) which successfully protected pilgrims from Umrah middlemen and scam artists after the system promptly identified itself as a Umrah middleman scam artist before self-destructing after only 24 hours of operations.

“The IMAMS system successfully protected vulnerable pilgrims from being scammed out of RM90 which we understand went to a private company,” a Tourism Ministry spokesman confirmed, “the fact the private company turned out to be the IMAMS system itself just goes to show how effective the scheme is.”

IMAMS has since been shut down after the government suddenly remembered pilgrims can vote.
