KLIA2: Malaysia Aviation Commission (Mavcom) officials confirmed today they have finally resolved their ongoing dispute with low-cost airline operators objecting to attempts to increase the KLIA2 passenger service charge.
“I think we can all agree KLIA2 isn’t a budget terminal, one only has to walk its endless premium corridors to know you’re somewhere special! This is why we’ve decided to charge 4 sen per step ‘service charge’ for the almost 2000 step stroll through this world-class terminal to the departure gates. We will be lending Fitbits at check-in counters to ensure everyone pays the correct amount!”
It is understood those unable to walk who requiring special assistance will be charged only RM73 to ride the electric buggy.
