Nation’s Future In The Hands Of Voters Who Can Take Wednesdays Off

MALAYSIA: Today the Election Commission revealed the mother of all elections, the outcome of which will determine the future course of the nation, is to be decided by Malaysians who can get out of working on a Wednesday.

“Choosing Wednesday the 9th, May over a weekend embraces the classic democratic principle of, ‘one man who can get Wednesday off, one vote,’” explained mid-week polling enthusiast, Abdullah bin Bakar, “remember to do your duty because every Wednesday off work vote counts!”

Frustrated urbanites unable to travel to their kampungs midweek may find themselves in an ‘Uptown Funk,’ which coincidentally will be performed by Bruno Mars at his concert election night.
