Najib Gives Interview On Stairs Despite Calls To Step Down

TAMAN DUTA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak permitted an interview by the Malay Mail on a flight of stairs yesterday despite calls to step down.

“Seeing Najib talking down to a reporter from his stairwell could jeopardise this image we’re crafting of a humble former leader tested by God during the holy Ramadhan month,” an Umno loyalist observing the interview explained,

“Perhaps Najib should listen to his advisors for once and step down as his current position yet again could do damage to Barisan Nasional’s popularity.”

The ex-PM later blamed those present for not speaking up at the time as he is always open to those who have a problem with his interviewing style.
