NATION: In a poll sure to worry the Pakatan Harapan government, an overwhelming 90% of Malaysians who received generous loyalty cheques of RM200,000 or more from the donor-linked personal AmBank account of ex-Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, say they miss his leadership.
“Looking at current living costs I find the current government sorely lacking,” said one former cheque recipient, “I could certainly do with six figures of Najib leadership now. I really miss him!”
“It seems the Umno Chiefs, MPs, Division heads, and other key figures who received large secretive loyalty payments from Najib’s famously donor-charged personal AmBank account, would like him to return as soon as possible,” an analyst remarked, “surely they wouldn’t be saying this if Pakatan were doing a good job!”
Najib has been in high spirits this week since learning Malaysia’s next king could be from Pahang. However, observers say the ex-premier remains humble and has been overheard saying ‘pardon me’ several times.
