Bangsar Expat Impresses Friends By Saying ‘Terima Kasih’

The visiting colleagues of Pearce Walter were treated to some Bahasa this afternoon after the long-term expatriate wrapped up ordering lunch at a Bangsar restaurant by saying ‘terima kasih’ to his waiter.

“Wow Pearce, it sounds like after two years in Malaysia, you’re really blending in with the locals,” said a visitor from UK Head Office realising her Hainan Chicken Rice was pink inside and sending it back to the kitchen.

The waiter who served Pearce, a Bangladesh worker who learnt conversational Bahasa after six weeks in the country, was reportedly also very impressed.
