Astro Urges Govt To Shut Down Android Boxes When It Rains

PETALING JAYA: In an attempt to win back subscribers, Astro has called for the government to disrupt Android box streaming services whenever there is heavy rain.

“Just because the rest of the world is moving towards online streaming doesn’t mean Malaysia should follow suit,” explained Astro cloud deluge disruption analyst, Othman Bin Talib.

“By interrupting Android Box programming during thunderstorms we can ensure Astro has a fighting chance to compete by forcing others to provide the same quality Pay-TV experience Malaysians have become accustomed to,”

Experts say if the government enforces a complete Android box ban, viewers may experience several minutes of Kodi channel disruption while they figure out a VPN or smartphone workaround.
