Police Urged To Skip Turkey Junkets And Try Cambridge Intl Distance Learning

NATION: Today Malaysians concerned about the cost of sending the Inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun and 16 other VIPs to Istanbul to learn about online gambling suggested they consider more cost-effective, government-sanctioned distance learning alternatives.

“Instead of booking flights to Turkey and staying in a hotel for a week, perhaps senior officers would consider an online course in tackling online gambling taught by a US online academy like Cambridge International University. It is understood Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been flooded with requests to approve overseas training junkets since news broke the Home Minister blindly authorised the IGP Istanbul trip without knowing how many were going or if they were travelling business class.
